Information we handle
When you create an account, we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password, and the date you accepted the Terms of Service. We also store your saved palettes, bookmarks, and active session records so the account features can work.
How we use it
We use this information to provide and secure your account, save the work you choose to keep, maintain the service, and respond to support or privacy requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Local processing
Several tools process files and color data directly in your browser. For example, image color extraction, image-gradient extraction, SVG recoloring, and ICC profile processing are designed to keep those files on your device. Search queries are sent to our search endpoint to return matching colors and palettes.
Cookies and sessions
ColorCodeV uses an essential, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. Standard sessions expire after one day; sessions created with “remember me” can last up to 30 days. These cookies are required for account functionality.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information and saved work while your account remains active. Session records expire automatically. You may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete information associated with your account.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to receive a copy of your information.
Contact
To publish a privacy contact channel, set NEXT_PUBLIC_CONTACT_EMAIL. You can also visit the Contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the current version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
